Diversification and Development Cooperative Origine Cévennes

The cooperative "Origine Cévennes" of small producers, continues its diversification and development strategy.

2014/15 campaign subdued for Sweet Onion Cevennes. Last summer weather caused disease problems and conservation, resulting in a production loss of about 30%. However, the cooperative was able to fulfill orders of all its clients through careful management of the goods to preserve the quality of the products.

The Cooperative has recorded an increase in the production of organic apples, 100 tons. The goal is 200 tons in the near future. The range of processed products (apple juice) is also increasing.

The cooperative decided to invest € 1 million in the expansion of its packaging plant covering a total area of ??2800 m2. This doubling of the storage capacity should help support an estimated production increase of 20%. Commissioned in July-August.
