Good news for Peru, which will export its grapes to South Korea
South Korea has opened its market to imports of table grapes from Peru.
After six years of negotiations between the health services of two countries, the Peruvian service (SENASA) has been approved by the National Plant Quarantine Service (SNCV).
Grape exports from Peru have been growing continuously over recent years. The 2010/11 season saw an increase of nearly 40% in exports compared with the previous season. The opening of this new market will boost demand from Asian countries, which has already increased considerably in recent years.
