Programme targets vegetables vulnerable to seasonal oversupply.
Thailand has launched a vegetable price stabilisation programme covering cabbage, chilli and leafy vegetables to manage supply during peak harvest periods and support stable market conditions, according to the Department of Internal Trade Thailand.
Authorities introduced supply management measures to regulate the flow of vegetables to market when production increases. The actions focus on preventing sharp price declines during periods of high supply.
The programme targets widely produced vegetables that are sensitive to seasonal market pressure and aims to maintain balanced prices for both farmers and consumers.
