“First, the market distribution is changing dramatically towards online shopping with big players like Amazon Fresh and Google Express. New generation wants to save time in shopping and they also want to get fresh fruits. They use online shopping but what about the cold chain and food safety. This is a key element, especially when you know that Google Express is using new logistics system. For instance, Google Express is using now Uber drivers in the US to deliver Fresh produce. They also set up refrigerated lockers in supermarkets, enable their customers to pick fresh produce up.”
“Second, the Food Safety Modernization Act – FSMA – has been implemented in 2016 in the USA for a better prevention. Introduced in 2011, this regulation puts more responsibility on the professional regarding food safety and cold chain management. The e-commerce company is responsible of cold chain management handled by its distributor, and by its importer etc… In the same process, if you are an importer, you have to make sure that your exporter complies with regulations.”

DELTATRAK is launching new devices to allow professionals to get a detailed and easy-to-use monitoring.
We are presenting here in Hong-Kong, a Low Energy Bluetooth Logger to monitor temperature, humidity, time, date, together with a GPS system to monitor deliveries. Professionals can monitor this on their Smartphone. This product will be launched in September in The US.”
