Planned exports of 10,000 tons of bananas to the Gulf countries

The state of Tamil Nadu in southern India, wants to increase banana exports.

Faced with the growing demand of foreign markets, Tamil Nadu, one of the Indian states producers of bananas, implements plans to increase exports. Objective: export 10,000 tons of bananas to the Gulf countries.

The state government in its development plan of agriculture Vision 2023, will help a dozen crops including bananas. Increase the area of 6000 hectares to 10,000 hectares of bananas, encourage the use of advanced agricultural techniques and necessary  technologies to increase the production and reduce costs.
