The artichoke production hit by frost

Frost hit the Guadalentín Valley and should lead to a decrease of about 40 % of the production of artichokes .
In the region of Murcia, Guadalentín river Valley was hit by severe frosts.
Frosts hit 90% of artichoke plantations according to the regional president of COAG , which states that about 40 % of crops are lost.
It is the largest frost event in the region since December 2010, when the damage had totaled nearly 23 million euro and for the production of artichokes loss of 9 million kilos.
