Net exports enlargement for melons

The Ministry of Agriculture said that the country has significantly expanded its melon exports destinations. Which points out that the industry's efforts , good quality research and phytosanitary conditions , are paying off.

Honduras is now exporting its melons to 36 countries worldwide . The fruits are in compliance with all international requirements. The new period of harvest and exports will start in the second half of December.

Not long ago, melons from Honduras were exported only to the United States but with the proliferation of varieties and increases the production of new markets opened . Honduras exports its melons to Germany, Colombia, El Salvador , Ecuador, Spain, France , Japan , Mexico, the United Kingdom , Taiwan.
