Peruvian artichoke industry sees growth in May exports

The United States remains the top destination.



Peruvian artichoke exports continued their upward trend in May 2025, driven by strong demand from key international buyers, according to Peruvian media.


Reaching 11 international markets, Peru’s artichoke exports totalled 3,093 tonnes in May 2025 — a 14% increase compared to the 2,715 tonnes shipped in the same month last year.


The United States remained the top destination, accounting for 66% of the volume, followed by Spain with a 15% share.
