This protest movement lasted only one day. In the country, the zones / regions are variously affected to the extent of mobilization on the spot. The denomination of "Yellow Vests" comes from the vest of signaling raised by the demonstrators.
Since November 17, the protest movement dubbed the "Yellow Vests" multiplies throughout France "snails" operations and dams filtering to slow or paralyze traffic and access to many areas of commercial activities and / or downtown.
These incidents have a particular impact on trade and deliveries. Attendance at shopping centers and sales declined sharply. According to the CDCF (Conseil du Commerce de France), hypermarkets and supermarkets suffered an average 35% drop in sales.
On the contrary, convenience stores that buy from local producers have been little impacted by these incidents. Some local shops have even seen the return of many buyers fearing that they can not normally go to shopping centers.
