The cultivation of peanuts increasing

This project has not only helped increase groundnut production in Siirt area nearby region of Iraq and Syria , but  created jobs by allowing repopulation , with the return of farmers towards major Turkish cities.

9 million trees have been planted and production increased from 2,000 tons to 12,000 tons , an area of ??45,000 hectares.

Groundnut production is not very important in Turkey compared to other countries in the same geographic region , such as Lebanon , many investments are being made in the southeast of Turkey, where the conditions exist for a good production.
