The India opens its market to asparagus and avocados

Peru sees the very large Indian market as potential for its asparagus and avocados.
Asparagus and avocados from Peru received the green light to enter the Indian market.
India has approved the entry of fresh asparagus from Peru and avocados. The decision must be sent to the World Trade Organization (WTO), prior to marketing these two products.
This approval is very auspicious according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru, and is expected
to extend to other products as the two countries decide to intensify their trade relations.
Peru's asparagus exports to 54 countries and its largest customers are the U.S. with 48% of shipments ($229.2 million), followed by Spain (65.8 million), the Netherlands (44.6 million) and France (43.3 million).
