Belize banana exports hit $9.4M in May 2025

Bananas continue to be a key driver of growth in the country's agricultural export sector.
In May 2025, Belize’s agricultural exports recorded significant gains, contributing strongly to the country’s overall trade performance, according to data from the Statistical Institute of Belize.
Banana exports rose by $1.8 million year-on-year, reaching $9.4 million for the month. Citrus products, including orange concentrate and orange oil, also increased by $1.8 million, totalling $5.2 million.
Red kidney beans, which had no recorded exports in May 2024, returned to the market with $1.1 million in sales.
