Peru increases blueberry exports volume by 36.3% year-on-year

The blueberry export season in Peru began this year in May and will end in April 2023.
Until October, Peru exported about 300.000 tons of this berry for an approximate value of $1.500.000.000, which translates into an increase of 36.3% in volume and 17% in value, compared to the previous season. This was reported by the president of the consulting firm Inform@cción, Fernando Cillóniz Benavides.
Fresh blueberry shipments totaled 153.228.933 kilos for $843.725.006 (+31%).
The main destinations to date continue to be North America, with 80.398.181 kilos ($436.291.938); Europe, 46.183.439 kilos; $236.909.324; Asia, 26.010.288 kilos, $166.906.584, and Latin America, 533.924 kilos, $3.617.159.
