RZ yellow watermelons to add sunshine on the shelves
Rijk Zwaan also took the opportunity of the Berlin show to present new logo and new belief: “Care turns clients into partners”.
Leading vegetables seed company Rijk Zwaan presented among its latest varietal developments the new yellow watermelons Tropical Sunshine RZ and Tropical Honey RZ. EMEA crop coordinator Bernardo Cuenca confirmed the growing success of the two varieties around the globe. About 800ha are being currently cultivated in Southern Hemisphere on their second season of development. Tropical Sunshine RZ is mainly planted in Australia, Brazil, and the US: Tropical Honey RZ on Mediterranean countries and Senegal. Tropical Sunshine has a dark skin and exquisite flavour, Tropical Honey is more appreciated in Europe for its sweetness and stripped skin.
