900 producers "Prince de Bretagne" will produce 45,000 tons of artichokes, thereby positioning the brand in the place of the first organization of artichoke producer in France.
The production area covers 7,600 acres, with 3 types of artichokes Camus de Bretagne (25 000 tons), Castel de Bretagne (13 000 tons) and Little Violet (6000 tons). All grown on the northern coast of Brittany, all harvested manually from May to November.
Camus de Bretagne : round and firm head, tight leaves, tender and melting substance,
Castel de Bretagne : pointed head, more separated leaves, fleshy substance,
Petit Violet : chewable all raw
