Conhexa celebrates 50 years of logistics expertise

Founded in 1975 by André Dejonghe under the name Frigo A25, the family business is now co-managed by Hilde Dejonghe and Luc Van Holzaet, who have transformed the original warehouse into a strategic player in transport and the cold chain around the port of Dunkirk.

An integrated group at the service of the cold chain

Today, Conhexa employs 160 people at two sites in Steenvoorde and Loon-Plage (Dunkirk), and has four frozen, fresh and ambient warehouses, with a total of over 55,000 pallet spaces. "Our new automated refrigerated warehouse in Dunkirk is now operational. This strategic investment of 25 million euros doubles our storage capacity for fresh produce, and marks a major step forward in logistics innovation," says CEO Luc Van Holzaet.

The Conhexa Transport subsidiary, set up in 2001, ensures continuity between warehousing and delivery thanks to a modern fleet and a dedicated team.

A forward-looking jubilee

From September 11 to 14, customers, partners, port authorities and employees gathered for tours, family events and speeches. This jubilee is not a culmination, but a springboard," emphasizes Hilde Dejonghe. Our ambition is to double our volume in the next five to six years, in line with the expansion of the Port of Dunkirk, while remaining true to our identity: value-added logistics." Luc Van Holzaet adds, "We want to build a robust organization, capable of standing on its own two feet, carried by talented teams and a clear positioning."
