FRUTIC 2018 will be dedicated to the efficient use of water throughout the value chain, from culture to point of sale.
The 11th International FRUTIC Symposium, dedicated this year to the theme 'efficient use of water', will take place on the 6th of February 2018, one day before the opening of the FRUIT LOGISTICA, in the CityCube Berlin.
With about forty scientific conferences, FRUTIC is an ideal platform for exchanges between science experts and those in the Fresh Fruits & Vegetables sector. In terms of content, the Symposium will cover the efficient use of water throughout the value chain, from point-of-sale culture (irrigation, washing, cleaning, treatment, cooling, storage, packaging).
FRUTIC is not only a platform for exchanges on current trends and new developments between science and practice. It will also discuss the research needs of the sector.
The FRUTIC symposium is jointly organized by the Leibniz-Institut für Agrartechnik und Bioökonomie e.V. (Germany) and the University of Foggia (Italy), FRUIT LOGISTICA, EurAgEng and the VDI / VDE regional working group being the cooperation partners.
