FEPEX wants the EU not to ratify the Memorandum of Agreement on Agriculture with Morocco.
Next week at the European Parliament the third round of talks on the Memorandum of Agreement on Agriculture between the EU and Morocco will take place.
The Commission can issue the final decision of the European Parliament on the agreement and it will then have to be voted by the full European Parliament, scheduled for early 2012. The Plenum of the Parliament will either approve or reject the agreement between the European Commission and Morocco
.
FEPEX said that in the first months of the season in October, Morocco again violated the provisions of the Partnership Agreement with the EU both in volume of exports than on price. These violations of the agreement has damaged the fruit and vegetable sector in Spain, FEPEX considers that Parliament should not ratify the protocol.
