NASA will try to grow plants on the Moon
FJ
Experience planned for 2015.
NASA, the American Space Agency will send to the Moon individual containers. They will contain seeds (basil, turnips) and everything necessary for their growth. Upon arrival on the moon, a small water tank will be triggered to wet the seeds and cause germination.
The plants will be photographed at regular intervals for comparison with normal growth on Earth. According to the project team "Lunar Plant Growth Habitat," a survival of 14 days would prove that plants can germinate in the lunar environment. Survival of more than 60 days would show that the reproduction is possible.
However, if these seeds fail to germinate.
