Emerson offers new solution that helps improving cold chain

Emerson announced the launch of new premium monitoring services for its Oversight cargo services platform, which will transform billions of sensor data points from GO loggers and trackers into insights that customers can use to better manage their cold chain.

With thousands of pallets distributed each day, the cold chain is complicated and made up of multiple carriers, vendors, and third-party distributors. Over the last decade, a recurrent question has been how to better interpret and utilize all of the data points acquired from devices in order to make better supply chain decisions. Instead of evaluating and reacting to individual trips and alerts, companies may now use the new Oversight Cargo Services service to uncover trends from months and years of data, thereby minimizing or mitigating future incidents.

The platform connects data and translates it into trends, that will help to make correct actions and decisions. The following upgraded offerings can be used:

• Reports and Scorecards: Provides on-demand access to mission-critical supply chain information and analytics via an interactive dashboard. Basic dashboards are free, and premium dashboards are available for subscription.

• Data Integration: Combines and automates many data streams of shipment information into a third-party platform, allowing users to use their preferred unified system.

• Managed Services: Uses a team of Emerson cold chain professionals to help monitor shipments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Carriers are directly engaged, giving you peace of mind that your merchandise will arrive safely and on time.

• Professional and Consultative Services: With an on-site consultation and analysis, analyze and identify cold chain gaps and potential difficulties before they emerge.

• Shipment Tracking: From any web-based portal, give customers and employees instant access to real-time shipment details and temperature data.
