Rwanda will improve the processes and technologies for banana juice

Abandoning the traditional production for new processes and new technology.

 

RAB (Rwanda Agriculture Board) and ASARECA (the association for strengthening agricultural research in East Africa) have launched a new program to improve the treatment of banana juice in the country.

 

RAB has spent more than three years to develop these new technologies. They will bring a halving of costs and preparation time, compared to the traditional production of juices. Hygiene and quality will be optimal, and processes will also allow a better preservation of juices. 

 

Banana juice, which is essential to get the banana beer - popular beverage in the region - is an interesting outlet for local production.
