Strawberries weighing about 30 grams each and bigger than a medium-sized egg, are the new variety called "King's Berries" grown in South Korea.
Korean farmers began cultivating these fruits from a pilot research project at two farms in Nonsan, Chungcheong Province.
These "King's Berries" strawberries are 2 times bigger than fine strawberries, weighing about 30 gr each, they have an average sugar content of about 9.8 ° Brix (the usual strawberries are 9.3 to 9.6 Brix). In addition, these very juicy strawberries offer a subtle fragrance.
