Brussels helps the transport of fruit by boat

Brussels dedicates THE SUM of about 11M€ to facilitate the sea transport of fruit and vegetables.
Fruit coming from Morocco and from the South of Spain will be transported by boat to Dunkerque, then Sheerness (Great Britain) and Moerdijk (Netherlands).
The operators federated under “Andalucia Fresh Line” announce price lists 40 % lower than those of the land transport. This service called "Fresh-Express" also associate the harbour authority of Alméria.
Brussels has just granted 7,5 M€ for three years, to Van Uden Maritime, Dutch shipping company and 3,5 M€ to the service Vegetalis, which connects Agadir and France via Port-Vendres and Dunkerque.
The consortium federates three operators of various nationalities, the French CMA CGM, the Moroccan IMTC and the Spanish STA.
