Registration open for grape producers from Mendoza and San Juan who seek to export to Brazil
VU
Registration in the Risk Mitigation System (SMR) of the National Service for Agrifood Health and Quality of Argentina (Senasa) will be open from September 5 to 16 for producers, packers and exporters of fresh grapes from San Juan and Mendoza who seek to export their merchandise to Brazil.
Enrollment will be done remotely. To register, producers must be registered in the System of Integrated Measures (SMI) and complete the registration forms for the SMR.
Within the framework of the National Program for the Prevention and Eradication of the Lobesia botrana pest, the SMR is an opportunity for those who meet the requirements to stop applying methyl bromide before exporting the grapes.
Those who want to export to Brazil must also comply with what is established in Resolution Mercosur/GMC/Resolution No. 22/19, section ll.19. B. commodity category 3, which includes other pests.
