Internationalization and innovation for the 36th edition of MACFRUT
Italy
Monday 08 April 2019
More exhibition space and even more exhibitors for this 2019 edition, which should also break visitors' records.
The 2019 edition of MACFRUT will take place from May 8 to 10, 2019. The show will have more than 1100 exhibitors including 25% from abroad, 1500 invited buyers and 60 organized events. This show will highlight internationalization and innovation.
Among the novelties of the show, the presence of a pavilion dedicated entirely to Africa, of which the sub-Saharan region is the international partner of this edition. There will be 200 companies from 14 countries: Angola, Benin, Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania and Zambia. Africa is playing an increasingly central role on the international scene (economic and demographic), so that growth forecasts indicate + 5% of annual GDP, and that it should reach 5% of global GDP by 2030.
The show will welcome for the first time Cuba with 5 companies, Proecuador with 8 major companies, the Mexican state of Zacatecas with 6 companies. Strong participation also from Eastern European companies and major importers from the Persian Gulf (Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar), India and Southeast Asia.
Innovation will be the other "key" of this edition. With "moving" zones that will present the latest technologies from the pre and post harvest sectors. The Greenhouse Technology Village will bring together the innovations of greenhouse culture.
