Peru mango exports reach $269.4m through May

Demand in the U.S. and Europe remains firm.
Peru exported US$269.4 million in fresh and dried mangoes from January to May 2026, with shipments totalling 166.99 million kilos and an average price of US$1.61/kg. The value already represents about 76% of the full 2025 total, while volume stands at nearly 65% of last year’s total shipments, according to Agrodata.
The season remained strongly front-loaded. January led with US$116.9 million, followed by February at US$81.5 million and March at US$56.3 million. Exports then slowed sharply to US$11.2 million in April and US$3.5 million in May. As volumes tightened, the average price rose from US$1.51/kg in January to US$7.09/kg in May.
By market, the United States led in value with US$93.0 million, equal to 34.5% of total. The Netherlands followed with US$85.0 million and a 31.6% share, while also taking the largest volume at 61.1 million kilos. Spain ranked third with US$20.6 million, ahead of the United Kingdom, South Korea and Canada.
