North America and Europe remained the top destinations, each showing growth in import volumes.

During the 2024/2025 season, Southern Hemisphere countries exported a total of 436,431 tonnes of fresh blueberries, a 28% increase compared to the previous year, according to data from a Chilean market consultancy firm.

Peru remained the top exporter, with 317,847 tonnes, up 42% from 2023/2024. Chile followed, exporting 90,647 tonnes, a 5% increase year-on-year. North America was the main destination, receiving 217,986 tonnes (+26%), followed by Europe, which imported 151,653 tonnes (+26%).

After high prices in 2023/2024 due to weather-related supply issues in Peru, average prices decreased in the current season. However, Mexico achieved the highest prices in the U.S. market, reaching $28/kg during week 41, supported by delays in Peruvian harvests.

Chile’s exports to the U.S. started at around $4/kg and rose to $12/kg by week 16. In Europe, Peru and Morocco reached top prices of €19.5/kg (weeks 38–42) and €14.3/kg (week 13), respectively. Chilean blueberries in Europe opened at €6/kg in week 2 and climbed to €12.3/kg by week 13.
