The figures provide an early snapshot of trade performance in the fresh produce sector.
Peru exported $904 million worth of fruit and vegetables in January 2026, according to data released by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (MIDAGRI). The figure represents a 16.4% increase compared with the same month in 2025.
Fruit and vegetable shipments accounted for 73.4% of the country’s non-traditional agricultural exports during the month. The ministry noted that demand remained strong across key international markets, supported by steady supply from the main producing regions.
Among the products driving export performance were blueberries, grapes, mangoes and avocados, which continue to dominate Peru’s fresh produce trade. These categories have maintained consistent export flows at the start of the year, reinforcing the country’s position as a major supplier to global markets.
