Chile plans to export 100 000 tonnes of cherries.

For the 2014-15 season, the volume of exports will increase compared to the previous season ( 68 313 tons shipped).

The Cherries ASOEX Committee, the group of Chilean Exporters, plans for the new season 2014-15 to export a volume of about 100 000 tonnes. The peak cherry exports will occur during weeks 49, 50 and 51 .

China will remain the No.1 market for Chilean cherries, since it has been planning a major promotional campaign there. Unprecedented campaign in the words of the organization states that this investment totaling USD 600,000.

The other main markets are the United States and Brazil , two countries in which the Group expects to improve export volumes. To support exports for the first time a promotional campaign is planned in Brazil in January 2015, which will focus on the city of Sao Paulo.
