The PMA FRESH SUMMIT event : quality attendance but lower attendance

As usual, the event began with 1 day conference and then exposition for 2 days. The show brings together 1200 companies and about 20.000 attendees.
Exhibitors were coming mainly from USA and Mexico, 10% , not more, are from rest of the world, Peru, Argentina, few Italian ... Attendance was mainly from USA and from Latin America. Organisers announced good attendance figures for this location. In fact the show is moving every year to enable everyone from the states to have better access. But most exhibitors were talking about a decline in the attendance. They also testimonies a strong quality of attendance.
Market in USA is orienting towards export American packers experience a fierce competition on prices in USA and are more and more looking for alternative market to export. On top of that, their customers like big retail chains ask them to also provide their supermarkets outside USA. Main export markets target are Asia and Europe.
Fructidor.com has taken this opportunity this year again to meet customers from USA and Latin America, and the feedback has been excellent. The " yellow shirts" made a great job , covering the event with trends and innovations both on social media and on the fructidor newsletter. Thanks for the time spent with our Country Managers there, thanks for your comments and advises to make fructidor more useful for your daily work. Sorry for those we could not see in Orlando, considering the size of the event.
