Schiavone diversifies its production

The Schiavone family is producer of table grapes since 1956 in Palagiano (southern of Puglia).

 
One of the son, Michele, has developed international trade to the Baltic States, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe. The development of society allowed the creation of Schiavonegroup, which is the union of several producers of the region which offer a wider range of products as well as fruit & vegetables.

 
In addition to the table grape and clementines, new productions of oranges have emerged.

These oranges <Navel lite>  matured from late January to early February. Currently, 15 hectares are dedicated to this production until the new station opens in summer 2011.
