MD
Renar Maçãs has just completed the integration of PomiFrai Fruticultura, which consolidates its position as the third largest apple producer in Brazil.
Already embarked on a process of cost reduction and restructuring, Renar Maçãs anticipates savings of approximately R $ 9 million (€ 3 million) per year, plus $ 4.8 million (€ 2 million) of annual synergies for the incorporation of PomiFrai. Renar Maçãs owns approximately 5,900 hectares of orchards, a packaging capacity of about 90,000 tons and 49,000 tons of storage.
According to the management of Renar Macas, cost reductions and the incorporation of PomiFrai will allow the company to enter in a new phase of growth.
The company expects a resumption of stock exchange prices with a 15% decline forecast for the next harvest. Forecasts announce a production of 70,000 tons.
