Fruitful year for Greek kiwis

   If before Greek production went mainly to Russia, after the ban main markets are EU countries – mainly Spain and Germany. But not less interesting for Greek production is Asian market– India, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan

    Last year one of the leading Greek Kiwi packing and distribution company - PROTO have already shipped since late September more than 2.000 tons of Greenlight and Hayward kiwis out of the 15.000 that were harvested for the season. Company surpassed its previous season harvest by almost 2.000 tons and company’s customers in the UK, Spain, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, Canada and other destinations are already enjoying their fruit.

   PROTO has already identified the continuous growth of Greek production which in addition to the ups and downs of the Italian available quantities annually has led PROTO to plan the expansion of its facilities with a brand new and state-of-the-art packing house already being designed.
