Conad plans to expand its network in southern Italy and Albania

The expansion announced by the group Conad plans an additional opening of twenty stores in the southern regions of Italy and Albania.
Conad Adriatico plans an investment of 12 million Euros for 11 new outlets in the regions of Basilicata and Puglia (Apulia and Basilicata) and 10 new outlets in Albania.
So at the end of 2011, Conad Adriatico will have 131 outlets in the regions of Puglia and Basilicata, with a turnover estimated at 288 million. The 23 stores in Albania are expected to generate a turnover of 31.4 million Euros (20.9 million in 2009).
The group said that 95% of products sold in its outlets are Italian, and that Conad maintained its commitment to promote PDO and PGI, which guarantee product quality.
