The 2017/18 mango season has started well

Peru has exported 33,889 tonnes of mangoes since the beginning of the season and is forecast to reach 180,550 tonnes in 2017/18.
Positive balance for Peruvian exports of mangoes according to APEM (Asociación Peruana de Productores y Exportadores de Mango) which announced that the volume exported is already higher than the forecasts established in October.
Since the beginning of the 2017/18 mango season, Peru has exported 33,889 tonnes (1448 containers), which is more than last October's forecast of 30,245 tonnes (1,315 containers).
According to APEM, these exports were destined for Europe (60%), the United States (25%) and the rest (15%) for Asia and Latin America.
The end of the 2017/18 season is scheduled for March 16th. Peruvian exports could reach 180,550 tons (7,850 containers), a volume almost equivalent to the previous season which totaled 181,700 tons (7,900 containers).
