The beans of Paimpol celebrate August 24

Every two years in August, the entire region celebrates one of its wonders, the famous beans of Paimpol.
Organized at the initiative of producers "Prince de Bretagne" the UCPT (Union of Cooperatives of Paimpol and Tréguier), these appointments attract every time some 10,000 fans of this little bean, the first to be awarded a PDO in France in 1998.
Appointment for August 24 in Saint-Quay-Portrieux, with a multitude of activities: parade, tastings, meetings with producers, and even contest of plumage and shelling of beans.
This great feast is also an opportunity for producers "Prince de Bretagne" to meet consumers, listen to their expectations and remind them all the qualities of this vegetable produced by 270 producers in an area of ??1,000 hectares comprising 84 municipalities .
"Prince de Bretagne" sells about 6,000 tons of Paimpol beans each year.
