Thousands of containers stranded at the port of Athens

The crisis with European bodies entails consequences affecting all sectors of the economy .

Money is no longer circulating in the country since June 29th , the date of closure of banks .

The banking restrictions have blocked imports necessary for the Greek economy such as its exports. The Kathimerini newspaper said that more than 4,500 containers stranded at the port of Athens, due to a fault in regulation.

Capital controls have already cost 3 billion euros to the country , according to Kathimerini newspaper.
