Introduction of mangoes in China & Russia markets

The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan wants to extend the fruits and vegetables markets of Pakistan.
Pakistan’s juicy mangoes known for aroma and taste will be an added attraction for the Russian and Chinese markets this summer. This was made possible by the initiatives taken by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and Fruit & Vegetable Exporters Association to find new markets for Pakistani products.
Accordingly, it has been decided that in the upcoming Mango season, TDAP will organize two mango shows, one in Shenzhen (China) during second week of June and one in Moscow (Russia) during last week of same month.
Pakistan possesses immense potentials in mangoes; the country is at the third row in production. However, very nominal quantity, less than 5% are being exported.
TDAP has also made efforts to introduce Pakistani mangoes in Japanese markets and all hurdles in the way will soon be removed. TDAP has taken practical actions to exploit export potentials of Agro-Food Products and launched various promotions inland and abroad.
