Metro Fruit Co. Ltd. merges with Norman Collett Ltd.

After countless years of importing fruits, as well as some vegetables, mainly from France and Italy, Mr. Alan Brooks, Metro Fruit's G.M., has decided , along with Mr. Collett, Norman Collett's G.M. to merge.

Metro Fruit, who was based out of Cranbrook, Kent (U.K.) is specialised in the import of peach nectarines along with other "summer fruits", and Norman Collett, from Paddock Wood, Kent (U.K.) in the shipping and distribution of apples and pears (which are closer to "winter fruits").

The duo figured that joining forces would help make their work load more stables throughout the year. This should make a very prosporous "marriage" as each party has a specific "know how" to bring to the table: Metro fruit with its international experience, and Norman Collett with its lasting relationship with most of UK's supermarkets.
