3 new mandarins varieties

This news varieties will be an asset for Morocco which wants to double its production of small citrus fruits in 10 years.
The National Institute of agronomic search created 3 new hybrid varieties of mandarin tree.
Al Mahdia, Al Gharbaouia and Maâmora varieties will be put at the disposal of producers before one year with a certification to be unhurt by disease.
These new varieties answer the qualitative and commercial criteria and can participate in the development of small fruits production.
Market trends are favourable to small citrus fruits and Morocco produces less than 500.000 tons at present and plans to produce 1,3 million tons in 2020.
