The harvest 2013 began for Limousin Apple, the only French apple that has obtained PDO (Protected Designation of Origin).
Late harvest but considered good and beautiful.
The harvest began at the end of September for the earliest orchards. 100 000 expected tons should be reached by the 280 producers of PDO Limousin Apple.
To ensure optimal conservation and preserve the unique qualities of PDO Limousin Apple, apples should be picked up before 20 October. The marketing will then begin.
