European Union should support soft-fruit producers in Poland

According statement published on 16th Jan. by all polish agriculture trade unions the EU should support the producers of soft-fruit like strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants and blueberries. The EC will present in January a proposal for reform of the polish fruit & vegetable market as a result of pressure made by polish government to regulate the problem. The above mentioned statement is result of maintaining the mutual line in question of fruit market reform in Poland. The polish agriculture trade unions: "Solidarity", "Selfdefense", "Country Association for Farmers, Units and Agriculture Organisations" declared that besides financial support for market sale of fruit, what according UE is very expensive solution, it should be possible for fruit producers to apply for supplement payments from EU. They underlined in their statement that at present the production of soft-fruit is not supported by any means by EU.
