Price for beetroot goes up in Russia

There is a tendency to prices increasing for beetroot in Russia in January 2013.

Comparing to average price of beetroot at the end of December 2012 (0,19 - 0,21 EURO/kg), costs of beetroot in January 2013 comprise 0,23 - 0,26 EURO/kg. Cheaper beetroot is provided only by farmers who lack financial support or produce low quality vegetables.

This situation is favourable for producers from Ukraine. According to latest data around 152 tons of beetroot have been exported to Belorussia from Ukraine till the end of January. This figure is 10 % bigger than last year 's export volume of beetroots from Ukraine to Russia.
