AGEXPORT has created a new committee bringing together Guatemalan women business exporters

This committee is made up of women who contribute to the development of the country through their leadership in export-oriented companies.

 

 

 

AGEXPORT has just launched its new committee of businesswomen. Members of this new committee include the presidents and vice-presidents of various AGEXPORT's offices, as well as other women entrepreneurs of the country.

 

 

 

"This committee will promote and showcase the hard work of businesswomen and entrepreneurs, whose actions strengthen businesses and help boost the country's foreign trade figures," said Ms. Connie de Paiz, President of AGEXPORT. 

 

 

 

The actions will respond to several strategies: 1. Identify actions to improve women's participation in the business world; 2. develop a communication plan to publicize the actions and the importance of women in companies; and 3. Provide tools for businesswomen to improve their leadership skills.

 

 

 

The achievements of this group will be measured by the impact on the business environment, including the increased participation of women in AGEXPORT's board of directors and the increase in the number of companies run by women.
