EUR 24 million EU support for the promotion of agricultural products

The European Commission has approved 20 programmes in 11 Member States to provide information on and to promote agricultural products in the European Union. The total budget of the programmes is EUR 48.2 million, of which the EU will contribute half. The Commission selected 20 programmes in those Member States (Belgium, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden and the United Kingdom) as eligible to receive financing. The programmes cover organic products, olive oil, milk, meat, eggs, wine, fruit, flowers, mushrooms and potatoes.
