Summerfruit is marketing the first red kiwi fruit, ENZARed, in Italy and sees a great future in the market.
The first red kiwi fruit, ENZARed, is being marketed in Italy by Summerfruit, the partner of Turners & Growers.
Proposed for the first time in Italy, the fruit is selling well with Italian consumers seeming to love the sweet taste and delicate, creamy texture and colour, said Murray Malone, Development Manager, Turners & Growers.
The fruit sold is currently from China but from next year, the first plantations ENZARed will begin in Italy, following successful trials.
