Agreement to harmonize communication on the advantages of wood
FJ
The industries of the pallet and wood packaging have agreed globally to work more closely together to harmonize their communication on the environmental and economic benefits of using wood instead of other materials.
The 66th Annual Congress of the FEFPEB (European Federation of Pallet and Packaging Manufacturers Wooden) in Cork, Ireland, entitled "Pallets and wooden packaging: sustainable sector in a rapidly changing world" brought together over 250 delegates from around the world.
The meeting of the Global Forum, which consists of industry leaders in the territories including Europe, Canada and the USA, China, Japan and South Korea, Australia and South Africa, agreed a coordination of data on the positive impact of the use of wood at international level. It was an important step to defend the global industry against the adverse effects of inaccurate and misleading information published in the press.
