2014-2015 dry fig harvest

Last season was very good with about 71 000 tons exported and according to  Izmir Commodity Exchange (ITB) member, the expectations are also very good for this year if the meteorological conditions permit it. Good demand is enhancing new plantations and the harvest is expected to increase in the next years.

Turkish dry figs are also appreciated as an organic product and increasingly sold in stores for natural products.

First shipment will be on September, 30^th according to the decision of the Dry Fig Committee.
