A fierce storm swept through the district last week, dumping hail and wreaking havoc on fruit and vegetable crops to the west and south of Mildura.
Belvedere Farms owner Paul Scopelliti watched in amazement as hailstones the size of 5 and 10 cent pieces hammered his orchard near Merbein.
The storm passed within 10 minutes, leaving a trail of destruction from Merbein to Karadoc.
