Normal production volumes are planned for late February/early March.
Strawberry production in Florida has been slowed by the recent cold wave.
Cold weather (for Florida) has not occasioned damage but slowed seriously the normal development of fruits. January was a very unusual month, according to the producers, with smaller harvest. Prices remain high, but production starts to increase. Anticipated volumes will be there on 14 February ( St. Valentine), a peak of demands.
Florida Strawberry Growers Association expects normal volumes for the end of February and beginning of March.
